Essence - Free Hugs & Party Princess

Today I have 2 new polishes from my Polish haul to show you.

Free Hugs is a pink creme polish from Essence. It reminds me a bit of gum. I like this color, it's a very nice and pretty pink.

The formula is good and it was opaque in 3 thin coats. Drying time was fairly average.

Here it is with top coat in natural light.

And in sunlight.

Party Princess is a pink jelly glitter topper with pink and holo glitter from Essence. It's a beautiful polish, but it doesn't go well on its own, so I used it with Free Hugs in a tape mani.

Formula was good to work with and apply. If you want it opaque on its own it will probably take 4-6 coats if it's possible at all. Drying time was nice, but I did only use one thick coat.

Here it is over Essence - Free Hugs with top coat in natural light.

In sunlight.

For this mani I taped over half the nail after applying Free Hugs and coated Party Princess on the non-taped area. After that I gave it a line of China Glaze - Material Girl and finished it off with a top coat.

It ended up quite girly, but I like it.

One out of focus so you can see the sparkle in Party Princess.

OPI - Baby Please Come Home

Today I have another OPI to show you.

Baby Please Come home is a metallic dusty lilac liquid sand from OPI's 2013 Mariah Carey Holiday collection. It's beautiful and a subtle color, yet it still has a lot of sparkle! I love it!

The formula was nice to work with, it was opaque in 2 coats and drying time was fairly average, like most liquid sand polishes from OPI.

Here it is in natural light.

And in sunlight.

Isn't it just gorgeous?

And 1 last photo out of focus so you can really see the sparkle! *yay*

Sushi Nails

Today I have some nail art to show you.

These nails I made for a party we were going to at a friends house where she made homemade sushi for us. I'm not normally that into sushi, but this was actually really good. I'm looking forward to friday where she's making it again! *happy dance*

I started out making a vertical gradient with A England - Princess Sabra and A England - Saint George and applied top coat.

Here it is in artificial light.

Afterwards I used acrylic paint to paint the sushi rolls and finished it off with a matte top coat.

Here it is in artificial light.

I think it looked quite nice. What do you think?

Magical Music Manis, Week 1: One Republic - Counting Stars

Okay, it's time for another monday music challenge by Rainbowifyme. Once again I will be interpreting music numbers on my nails every monday for 13 weeks. Either getting inspired by the title of the song, the artist, the video or even the lyrics.

This weeks song is Counting Stars by One Republic and I found my inspiration in the song title this time.

Here they are.
Sorry about the bad photos, but It was raining heavily outside and the light inside just didn't want to cooperate. *sigh*

I used Picture Polish - Cosmos as a base and stamped with A England - Excalibur.

I really love Cosmos! It's so gorgeous!

The stamping is not super visible, but it's there.

Here's one out of focus, so you can see the sparkles in Cosmos *swoon*

And the last one.

What do you think?

Wanna see the music video? Here it is.

Check out what the other girls came up with:

OPI - Today I Accomplished Zero

Today I have a beautiful polish to show you.

Today I Accomplished Zero is a black jelly base with lots of pink glitter (which honestly looks more red to me) from OPI's 2014 Coca Cola collection. I love this polish. It reminds me of Stay The Night which is a texture polish from OPI.
The Coca Cola collection is made in collaboration with (yes you guess it), Coca Cola. There are 9 polishes in the collection and I want to own them all. I like the colors of course and I'm a big Coca Cola fan. At the moment I only own this one though.

The formula is great to work with and it's really easy to apply nicely. For the photos I used 2 thick coats and even though they were thick drying time was actually quite fast. All in all I'm really liking this polish!

So here it is without top coat in natural light.

I wanted to do a little something to it, so I chose to stamp over it with A England - Holy Grail.
It's not super visible, but it gave it a nice effect I think.

Here it is with top coat in natural light.

What do you think?

Application: 10/10

Tomorrow I am joining in on another monday music challenge made by Rainbowifyme. The challenge is this time called Magical Music Manis. The challenge will run for 3 months or 13 mondays. The first song we are starting out with is One Republic - Counting Star.

Here is the banner.

I hope you will enjoy my interpretations of the songs on my nails.

I did a bit of stamping nail art for a party I was going to.

I applied a black base color and coated Picture Polish - Aurora over it and stamped with A England - Briar Rose.

OPI - DS Opulence

Today I have great polish to show you.

DS Opulence is a dusty mauve-pink with holographic shimmer from OPI's Designer Series collection from 2008. This is a really gorgeous polish.

The formula was nice and easy to apply. It took 2 coats to get opaque and drying time was fairly average.

This looks so great in the sun, but unfortunately there were no sun out when I photographed it. Furthermore I forgot to take photos of it before finishing the mani, so here you get it with flower decals and top coat.

Picture Polish - Tailfeather and polish haul from Poland.

Today I want to show you a pretty polish.

Tailfeather is a beautiful mint green polish with micro scattered holo glass flecks from Picture Polishes Collaboration collection. This one is a collaboration with the talented blogger Kayla Shevonne.

It's a really pretty polish, but I had some trouble with the formula which was quite thin and made it a little annoying to put on. Furthermore it took 4 coats to get opaque, which also made the drying time long. I'm just not a big fan of polishes like this even though I love the color, that just wasn't enough for me, so I found it a new owner.

Anyway here it is with top coat in natural light.

What do you think?

Application: 6/10
Opacity: 4/10
Colour, prettiness: 9/10
Value for money: 6/10
Overall: 6,5/10
Buy again: Probably not.

Polish Haul from Poland

This weekend we were in Poland for our best friends wedding and of course I had to shop a bit. They had a mall there that was just heaven for a polishaholic like me *yay*

Here is the whole haul.

Let's take a closer look:

In a Douglas shop at Focus Mall I found Essense at 6.99 PLN a piece.

From left to right: Free Hugs, Here's My Number, Party Princess, Hello Marshmallow, Space Queen & Break Through.

In Focus Mall there was booth in the middle of the hallway with Golden Rose polishes. Oh there were soooo many different that it was difficult to just pick a few, but the hubby didn't think I should buy to many, so I got these 6. I picked a bit of different sorts. The frosted bottles look really cool! Prices was from 7.90 to 12.90 PLN

From left to right: 207, 30, 119, 26, 311 & 327.

In the city center there was a Rossmann shop that I had to try and they had a LOT of nail polishes from different brand, from brands we know in Denmark to a few that was Polish. This brand Lovely should be a Polish brand. The blue one is a texture polish. Prices was 8.59 and 5,69 PLN

From left to right: 235 & 7

In a Rossmann shop in Focus Mall I found Manhattan polishes. This is a brand I know from our trips to Germany, so when I found these beautiful glitter polishes I just had to own them. These were 13.99 PLN a piece.

From left to right: Laguna Love, Jungle Gem & Violet Volcano.

In Focus Mall there was also a Inglot shop that sold the makeup brand Inglot. This seems to be one of the expensive Polish brands and I think they are real quality polishes. I was recommended to try this brand and after googling a bit I found out that their Gel Effect Top Coat is supposed to be really good at prolonging the life of your manicure, so I had to try that out aswell. I'm really looking forward to trying these!
Prices was 21 PLN for the polishes, 22 PLN for the top coat and 15 PLN for a polish thinner.

From left to right: 954, 388, 234, Gel Effect Top Coat & polish thinner.

All in all I spend 255,59 PLN on all of these. That's 454,20 DKK and $80,33. I think that's a fair price for 20 polishes, 1 top coat and a thinner.
